Yoni Altman-Shafer was raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, but is currently based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where he’s doing a Masters at Harvard University in religion and conflict studies. This past year, he was all around the world as a counselor for the Kivunim gap year program, which was his break in academia after finishing undergrad at the George Washington University in Washington, DC. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, cooking, and finding places to hammock.  He was a 2017 Bronfman Fellow.
